CLHS Girls' Tennis Team

A NOTE FROM JON:

I just finished the coaches meeting where we decide the ranking of the teams in section 7AA. There are 17 teams in our section and we are ranked 7th!! That means that this Tuesday we will have a home playoff match vs our arch-rival Forest Lake. We have not had a home playoff match for years and I want ALL of our girls to be there to experience the atmosphere of the playoffs and to cheer on their varsity team!! All athletes should wear their uniform one more time as we close out the season with this last home match. The match starts at 3:30, but I want the kids to be there by 3 to watch the warm-ups and introductions. The match will be finished around 5:30. Everyone is invited, btw, not just the players!

Important Items:

On Wednesday we will need all of the girls to help us roll up the windscreens. If you have a wire-cutting tool, please bring it to practice. Also, please label it as yours so it returns with you when we are finished. We use those tools to remove the cable-ties holding down the screens.
The End-of-Season Banquet is Thursday!
We need workers for the concession stand on Friday. All non-senior varsity players are expected to help, but we will take anyone’s help! Here is a link to a sign-up sheet. We need 2 adults and 10 kids per shift.

Week 8 Schedule:

Monday (9/30) - 4PM JV vs Champlin Park, Short Varsity practice before match.
Tuesday (10/1) - 4PM Varsity 1st round of section 7AA championships - location TBD
Wednesday (10/2) - 2:45PM - Windscreen Roll-up Day!
Thursday (10/3) - 6PM End-of-Season Banquet at Lakes Free Church
Friday (10/4) - 5:30-8:45PM - Girls Tennis Night at the Football concession stand!
